Threshold of Transformation: Unveiling the Unseen invites viewers on a journey through the metaphysical and conceptual thresholds that define our existence. Extending on Lai's Dream Portal series, the exhibition explores how these thresholds serve as gateways to new dimensions of thought, experience, and identity. Lai’s vibrant, surreal portals offer a vision of the unseen, where the boundaries of reality blur, and the possibilities of transformation are limitless.

Mary Lai is a Korean-American, LA-based multidisciplinary artist known for her distinctive use of color, texture, and form to create immersive visual experiences. Her work, celebrated for its bold aesthetics and conceptual depth, featured in numerous exhibitions across the United States and internationally. Lai is celebrated for her ability to create immersive, dreamlike environments that challenge the viewer's perception and open up new realms of imagination.

Curator Kong-Surtees explains, "This exhibition is about the powerful moments of change that occur when we stand at the threshold of the unknown. Our exhibition is not just visual experiences but metaphysical ones, challenging us to rethink what we know and embrace the possibilities that lie beyond our immediate perception."
